Carthage encourages students to participate in the student organizations listed below. Taken together, our programs give the Carthage community a variety of ways to explore worldwide views and the intersections of spirituality and leadership. Roman Catholics make up the largest religious group on campus. Catholics @ Carthage works with the campus pastor to create learning, fellowship, and service opportunities for other Roman Catholic students on campus. A weekly mass, led by priests from the surrounding communities, takes place Sundays at 7:30 p.m. in A. F. Siebert Chapel. The student organization meets two to three times a month after Mass for fellowship and activities.

Intervarsity Christian Fellowship is a national organization creating a Christian community on campus and connecting with other Intervarsity chapters. Join us to have in-depth discussions about the bible lead by pastors and leaders in the area. There are weekly small- and large-group meetings and community nights open to all students, as well as opportunities for service.

The Muslim Society Awareness Association’s purpose at Carthage is to create an environment that is open to those who practice their faith on campus, in the community, and in the world. MSAA is inclusive; everyone is welcome to join.

The Carthage College Jewish Student Union (JSU), formerly the Jewish Awareness Association, is a group of multiple denominations of Jewish students, allies, and students wanting to learn more about Judaism. The organization works closely with the Kenosha Jewish community, giving students access to practice their religion on campus. The group holds social events around celebrations as well as soup socials to strengthen our campus community.

FCA is an international organization uniting faith and athletics. Small groups/huddles connect student athletes together with their peers for Bible study, connection and faith building. CFS Student Community Builders living in the residence halls or as commuters are resources to all Carthage students. Community Builders help students get connected to student organizations and support programming that includes Catholic Mass, Service and Random Acts of Kindness, Interfaith Lunch, Social Justice and support for our international students. Student staff also have leadership roles and run small groups for On Purpose, a reflection series that happens in fall, J-Term and spring. They are available for one-on-one conversations and peer ministry.
